Brazilian Troops Serving with UNEF - The rotation of Brazilian troops serving with the United Nations Emergency Force (UNEF) started at Gaza this week when the outgoing Battalion sailed from Port Said for Rio de Janeiro on the Brazilian Naval Troopship "Barroso Pereira". Arriving on the same ship to join UNEF was a new Battalion comprised of 16 officers and 242 other ranks. Lt. Gen. P.S. Gyani (right), Commander of UNEF, is seen inspecting the incoming Battalion. He is accompanied by Col. Thiago Torres (center), Commanding Officer of the new Battalion, and Lt. Col. Darcy Lazaro, commanding Officer of the outgoing Battalion. Rotation of Brazilian Troops Serving with UNEF - The half-yearly rotation of the Brazilian troops serving with the United Nations Emergency Force (UNEF), was completed today when 380 officers and men of the 11th contingent sailed for home. They sailed for Brazil on the troopship "Ary Parreiras" which had earlier brought the incoming troops.  Members of the outgoing contingent prepare to board the troopship "Ary Parreiras".
